LORNE FILM launched in 2013 - and went on to run 5 successful festivals - with the most recent festival being LORNE FILM 2019. During this time LORNE FILM screened 91 feature films and 111 short films from Australia and across the globe. LORNE FILM also created and hosted the following events:
'All done beautifully.’
‘…the spread and diverseness of movies this year was great.’
'Love the ability to watch modern day movies in a grand ol’ theatre.'
‘…the films that I saw were fantastic, I only regret not seeing more but the festival was a lot of fun.’
‘It was great. Look forward to next year.’
“Great show at Lorne last night. Beautiful theatre…full house, and a really good Q&A with Wayne after the film. So congrats to the Lorne Film Festival.”
“Thanks to all you guys for a fabulous, relaxing festival. Our film - The Forest For The Trees had a great audience…a really lovely place to see films…well done. Look forward to the next one.”
“Congrats Lorne Film. A great weekend! A great success! Here’s to many more…”
“…congratulations to Lorne Film for putting on such an amazing event...I'm locked in permanently for this event! I didn’t get to see ALL the movies I planned to see but thoroughly enjoyed those I did...a great way to spend the weekend....I've already spread the word and have lots of interested people coming next year!”
“I attended Lorne Film 2013 as a Foundation Member and I loved it, mostly I attended the documentaries, but I was there at most parties. On Sunday morning I attended the screening of Mary Meets Mohammad at the Cumberland. I was so emotionally and intellectually connected and inspired that I have now introduced the film as content in our year 8 curriculum at Wesley College.
Thank you Lorne Film for introducing me to this beautiful story, hundreds of students will now benefit from this film and become better humanitarians as a result, I’m proud of that and Lorne Film should be as well”.

With it's festival arm going into hiatus during 2017, LORNE FILM poured its time and resources into feature film production, namely the supernatural thriller, THE UNLIT - co-producing the Lorne leg of the shoot in late 2017 and during 2018.
THE UNLIT is due for release in 2020.
